Motor Claims Measures to Assist Policyholders Affected by the COVID-19 Outbreak during the Mandatory Movement Control Order (MCO) Period

Dear Valued Policyholders,

At MSIG, we understand and empathise with the challenges that you may face during the MCO period.

We always strive to provide superior customer experience and this time is no different. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the following measures to assist policyholders in their motor insurance claims:

A. Cash in lieu for repairs <RM 2,000 applicable to Motor Own Damage Claim

Validity Period: For accident/incident occurring and reported from 1 May 2020 during the MCO period.

If your vehicle is involved in an accident, please contact MSIG Motor Assist Hotline at 1-300-880-833 or MSIG Customer Service at: 1-800-88-MSIG (6744) after you have lodged a police report.

We will guide you on the claim documentation and we will get in touch with you to inspect the damaged vehicle either by video survey or based on the photographs you have provided.

Documents required: Police report (mandatory*), yours and/or Driver’s NRIC and Driving Licence together with photographs depicting the damages.

After our assessment*, we will pay you a sum of not more than RM 2,000 so that you have the financial assistance to get your vehicle repaired.

*subject to full documents submission and that the claim is payable

B. Complimentary Vehicle Anti-Bacteria Fogging (sanitising services) valued at RM 25.00. Applicable for Motor Own Damage Claim only

If your vehicle is being laid up in MSIG’s Panel workshop (excluding Franchise) during MCO period or within 7 days from post MCO period, MSIG panel workshops (excluding Franchise) will provide complimentary anti-bacteria fogging service (sanitising services) to the vehicle before releasing the vehicle to you, an additional measure for your peace of mind.
