MSIG Launches New Home Assist Application

App aimed at making home inconveniences more convenient

 

Kuala Lumpur, 29 December 2014 - MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd (MSIG Malaysia), one of the leading general insurers in Fire, Engineering and Personal Accident classes and No.1 in Marine Cargo insurance have launched a new innovative application aimed to add value to its existing Houseowner, Householder and Key Plan policyholders.  The application, Home Assist Mobile App is available both on Android and iOS.  MSIG is the first insurance company in Malaysia to provide Home-related Claims Accessibility via smartphone and tablet combined with referral home services.

“As one of the leading general insurers in Fire, we understand the stress people go through when these inconveniences happen.  Hence we are constantly working to add value to our policyholders to ensure that we don’t just protect them financially but work towards mitigating these incidences and if it happened, how can we make it more bearable.  It can be as simple as finding your home flooded when you come home in the middle of the night.  The challenge is always who to call for help.  Through this app, all these information is at policyholders’ fingertips.  They can also be assured that they get the best service as we ensured our service providers are certified and experienced.  To top it all, if the repair/replacement required is covered under their policy, they can make the necessary claims through the app,” said Mr Chua Seck Guan, Chief Executive Officer of MSIG Malaysia.

The MSIG Home Assist App comprised of Home Assist Referral Service. This one of a kind service provides referral services by  certified and experienced contractors, available 24-hour, seven-days-a-week, who you can call upon for home related inconveniences such as locksmiths, roof repairs, house cleaning – everything from emergency and maintenance works, physical works right down to restoration works.

“We aim to raise the bar in providing convenience to customers.  In this digitally connected world, the way customers look at services also evolved and we need to go above and beyond to ensure their evolving needs are met.  However, for the more traditional, our dedicated helpline  1-300-880-863 is still available to them 24/7,” added Chua.

The MSIG Home Assist Mobile App can be downloaded for free from Play Store and Apple Store.
