This year Kuching City will witness its very first marathon event since 2006 when Kuching Marathon Association and The Commission Of The City Of Kuching North joint hand in organising their inaugural event: Kuching Marathon 2014. This grand sport event will be held at Padang Merdeka, Kuching on 17th August.

Kuching Marathon 2014 was officially launched by Minister of Tourism Sarawak, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at Plaza Merdeka, Kuching on 21 January. It's now opened to accept online registration for early bird until 28 February. For keen runners and those who enjoy running, you are encouraged to join Kuching Marathon 2014 which features 4 categories; Full Marathon of 42km, Half Marathon of 21km, 10km and 5km Runs.
