Key benefits

Comprehensive coverage against loss or damage to your Solar PV system

This coverage protects you against the financial loss associated with the failure or damage to your Solar PV system, which might result in a reduction of the energy savings you would normally generate. This includes lost of income from the system’s power generation, helping you recover financially from the downtime of your solar system.

Provides optional protection against loss of savings and loss of income

You can choose to cover for loss of income/savings as a result of downtime of your solar PV system as a result of indemnifiable damage.

Flexibility to choose

This feature offers you the flexibility to either select a pre-set plan with standard coverage limits or determine your own sum insured based on your specific risk exposure. This ensures that the level of coverage is tailored to your needs, allowing you to be adequately protected against any risks your Solar PV system may face.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a claim?

Please provide a written notice to the Company with full details within 15 days upon receiving notice of or sustaining any accident, loss or damage. You may contact any MSIG Branch or your Insurance Adviser to obtain a copy of the claim form. Submit the completed claim form here to the Company together with all relevant documents as soon as possible.

What are the procedures for me to cancel my Policy? What if the Company decides to cancel my Policy?

You may cancel the policy at any time by notifying us in writing. The Company may cancel this Policy by sending 14 days notice by recorded delivery letter or registered letter to your last known address. Any refund of premium is based on the short period rate basis and depends  on how long the cover has been in force.

How do I enrol for the Policy?

Please use the proposal form in the Downloads section, complete it, and send it to your Insurance Adviser or the nearest MSIG branch.

What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact details?

It is important that you inform MSIG of any change in your contact details to ensure that all correspondences reach you in a timely manner.

How do I lodge a complaint if I am unhappy with the product or services?

If you have a complaint about our product or services, or you are not satisfied with the rejection or offer of any settlement of a claim, you should first try to resolve the complaint with MSIG Customer Service Centre.

If you are still not satisfied with the decision, you can write either to the BNMLINK of Bank Negara Malaysia or the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS), free of charge.
