The Accident Assist Call Centre (AACC) is a joint initiative by Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) and Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) in support of the government's efforts to improve efficiency in the submission and handling of motor accident claims. The call centre was established in September last year following consultation with a joint working committee comprising the police, Health and Finance Ministries, Bank Negara Malaysia, transport operators, consumer associations and other stakeholders. The 24-hour hotline, 1-300-22-11-88, handles calls from road users involved in road accidents, offers accident towing services and answers basic questions on motor insurance coverage and claims.
