Foreign Worker Insurance Guarantee is a guarantee required by Immigration Department under Regulation 21 of the Immigration Regulations from Employers as a security deposit for the employment of foreign workers in various sectors.

In the event that any of the foreign workman (men) is/are to be repatriated to their home country, this insurance serves as a guarantee to the Director General of Immigration Department up to the maximum aggregate sum of the guarantee value.

The Insurance Guarantee offered under this scheme does not include foreign maids.

The amount of guarantee and period of insurance are pre-fixed by the Immigration Department depending on the nationality of the worker. It ranges from RM250 to RM1,500 for each foreign worker based on their nationality. Work permit is issued for a period of either 13, 18 or 26 months.

The rate is 1% per annum on guarantee amount subject to minimum premium of RM54.00 (inclusive of Service Tax). Full premium must be paid to us or our authorised agent before the effective date of cover.

You are obligated to pay any applicable taxes (which include but not limited to service tax and stamp duty) imposed by the Malaysian tax authorities in relation to your Policy.

• Insured/Employer to complete the proposal form with full details of the foreign workmen (such as copy of passport or permit) and premium payment.
• Complete/sign the Letter of Indemnity by the Employer witnessed by a Commissioner for Oaths.
